Structures containing more than 8 units will have 1/3 of the units inspected each year. ![]() One and two family dwellings will be inspected each year.Rental properties must be registered annually on or before January 31 of each year.Registration & Inspections for Existing Rental Properties Inspections are done in compliance with the International Property Maintenance Code, Meridian Township Code of Ordinances, and the Michigan Building and Residential Codes. 6.To promote communication on neighborhood interest and friendship among neighbors.The Rental Housing Division of the Planning Department performs inspections of rental housing units and maintains related records to ensure compliance with the Township’s ordinances and adopted codes. 5.To collaborate with organizations including the business community in pursuit of creating a healthy thriving community. 4.To secure financial resources and solicit charitable donations to support initiatives that foster a sense of community, identify the areas of expertise in the neighborhood and facilitate opportunities to build social capital and civic engagement. 3.To create a safety net of caring that is extended to neighbors and those in need. 2.To lessen the burden of local government by creating a neighborhood infrastructure that will enhance collective capacity to identify solutions to individual and neighborhood problems.
